TRANSFORMERS
Transformers are used in alternating current (AC) circuits. They are the elements that perform the desired lowering and increasing in voltage and current values without changing the frequency value.
TRANSFORMER OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Transformers; It consists of two or more coils wound on a core. When a voltage is applied to the input (Primary) coil, a magnetic flux forms on the core. This generated magnetic flux creates a voltage in the secondary coil on the same core. If the number of secondary windings in the transformer is more than the number of primary windings, the output voltage is higher than the input voltage, this type of transformer is called amplifier transformers. If the number of input windings exceeds the number of output windings; the output voltage is lower than the input voltage. This type of transformer is called reducing transformers.
