FUSES
If the current exceeds the desired limit in the circuit, it is called the circuit elements used to cut the current. Fuses are connected to the circuit in series and if the current exceeds the limit level, it opens and protects the circuit; thus eliminating any problems that may occur in the circuits.
While electronic circuit boards use glass fuses to protect circuit elements from low power supply currents, different types of fuses are available for protection in much higher current power lines.
